About me:
Always in love with filming and telling stories, I have started travelling across war areas in 2002, reporting occasionally for peaceporter.net (Caucasus, Saharawii, Cuba).
2005 Shaken by the Beslan terrorist attack in North Ossetia in 2004, I have followed the independent investigation by Novaja gazeta (Russian newspaper) about the involvement of the Russian government in the tragedy and decided to make a documentary about it. The film "Le finestre di Beslan" (Beslan's windows) it is still the only independent documentary about the investigation and won the Bizzarri Film Festival Special Price (2006).
After this experience I have given up in searching war stories for a while, focusing my energies on adventure and filming difficult expeditions "by fairy means".
2009-2010 I have filmed the Team Est expedition on the worst car ever made, a small Fiat Y10, throughout Africa and Asia (Mongol and Africa Rally). The film "The Y10 diaries" tells their odyssey and several failures. The Y10 diaries episode I won The Adventurists Film Festival in London in 2010.
2010 I have walked the Oreto river (Palermo, Sicily) to document the terrific status of its waters.
2011 was a great occasion to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Italy unification, then I retraced by bicycle Garibaldi's route from Sicily to Turin. My blog about the experience has had a very good response from the audience.
2012 fascinated by Siffre's experiments (first "out of time" experience, up to 6 months alone in a cave), I filmed my 700 hours permanence, 30 m under the surface, solo, no time indicators, no natural lights.
